MODERN TRADITIONAL
MODERN TRADITIONAL
This wonderful client returned to me for a second project, a project located in West University Place – a stunning home that was published shortly after its completion. She strongly gravitates toward a neutral, calming palette, so we embraced that vision throughout the design. While an all-neutral scheme might sound understated, this home is anything but.
We introduced layers of texture through wallpaper, rugs, and carefully selected furnishings, adding depth and visual interest. The client preferred lighter furniture and case goods, keeping the overall feel light and airy. The home’s style nods to French design without leaning too heavily into it, striking a perfect balance between traditional elegance and modern sophistication.
To further elevate the look, we incorporated modern art and rich fabrics that brought warmth without feeling imposing. This family of five – plus two small dogs – truly lives in every room. The dining room doubles as a space for projects and study sessions, while the family room serves as a hub for game nights and gatherings.
Despite the predominantly neutral color scheme, the fabrics were chosen for durability and easy maintenance, ensuring they could withstand the lively energy of a busy family. It was a joy to work with this client again, and I look forward to the possibility of collaborating on future projects.
