This West University Place home, originally designed with a distinctly French aesthetic, was beautiful but in need of a refresh. The architecture’s strong French influence provided the perfect canvas to infuse a touch of whimsy while maintaining its classic charm.
We replaced some of the overly traditional French lighting with modern fixtures, creating a striking contrast between old and new. The color palette also evolved from conventional tones to bolder, more confident hues, adding depth and visual interest throughout the space.
In the kitchen, we opted for neutral tones and contemporary lighting to brighten the space, while the family room transitioned from dark, heavy furnishings to a lighter, more airy look.
Working with this client was a delight – she wasn’t afraid to go bold and dramatic, making it an exciting and creatively fulfilling project. I loved helping her reimagine this already stunning home into its more modern, vibrant version.
